MIRACLE Mental Health is a diverse collaboration of faith based and community leaders – including people with lived experience of mental illness – working together to raise awareness and build authentic community around issues related to mental health and mental illness. Since February 2012, MIRACLE has been meeting every month in the basement of Progressive Baptist Church on Milwaukee’s Northwest side. The four pillars of our work are (1) raising awareness inside local congregations, (2) building relationships across the faith spectrum, (3) building community with interested organizations and individuals, and (4) advocating for policies and practices that serve people with dignity and honor.
