The Bureau announces the release of report 16-14, Milwaukee County Mental Health Board.
Since July 2014, the Board has overseen the Behavioral Health Division (BHD) of Milwaukee County. We found that BHD has not consistently delineated the specific programs it administers or the services it provides, budgeted on a program-level basis, developed performance indicators for each of the community-based programs it administers, or included in its vendor contracts the specific policies with which vendors are expected to comply or the standards that BHD will use to measure performance. We make recommendations to address these issues.
